We all struggle to fit health into our daily lives. No matter what job, lifestyle or genetics you have, most people can admit that it's not easy! Health is no longer second nature; usually we have to remind ourselves to practice meditation, try a healthy recipe, get a workout in or practice self-care. FitNFlow has studied the art of obtainable health and has a few tips to apply when looking to add more healthy activities into your daily life.


What motivates you to continue staying active? It's important to understand this of yourself, so don't be afraid to get to know yourself. FitNFlow has found a fey key motivators that are effective in continuing a healthy routine.

The first key motivator is in-person interaction. Whether doing a workout with friends or an instructor, maintaining in-person interaction is a great way to motivate yourself to continue a healthy lifestyle. This is because you have people there to help guide you along the way, so you're no longer the only one motivating yourself.

The second key motivator is doing something you really love. This may sound obvious, but many people don't know that they're doing an activity they don't even enjoy. Health doesn't mean following the trends or doing what everyone else is doing- health is about feeling good in your body. If you hate running but love walking, go for a nice walk. If you'd rather take a yoga class than a spin class, practice a yoga class. Health is all about doing what makes your body feel good, not forcing your body to feel bad!

The last key motivator is time. Set apart a specific time in your schedule that is all for you. The time you choose should be up to you, but it should be a time that can easily fit into your life. It may be hard to find that specific time slot, it may even feel impossible, but you must realize that you have to take care of yourself before you can fully give to others. Setting up a time to do that is essential. Easy Avenues

One of the founder's of FitNFlow has a background as a personal trainer and yoga instructor, and found most of her clients struggled to find the proper avenues to obtain health services.

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is hard, and the more you have to go out of your way to obtain health services the harder it gets. We often don't think traveling short distances to a gym or studio can be challenging, but often times it is the make or break between maintaining a routine and falling off. When seeking outside health services, it's important to keep in mind what your motivators are.

If in-person interaction motivates you, watching a video or going to the gym on your own may not be effective for you. If it's important to you to practice an activity you enjoy, then don't signup for classes you hate (especially if there is a required membership or contract!) If time is essential to you, don't sign up for a service you have to travel far to. Even just five minutes of travel can end up causing issues. Getting ready, setting time aside in your schedule, preparing for a social experience, getting set up for your class/session can add an additional hour or more! Plus, what started as something to aid in health and relax yourself becomes an added stress into your life. No wonder health routines are so hard to keep up!
